Our teacher training programme is ambitious, flexible, and tailored to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to teach in Manchester’s diverse educational environment.
As a national provider with a strong local presence in Manchester, you will be placed in a range of primary and secondary schools. At the end of the training year, on successful completion of the programme, you will be awarded Qualified Teaching Status (QTS), an optional PGCE, and the skills to ace your early career teaching (ECT) years.
Teach from day one – Immerse yourself in real classroom experiences responsible for lesson planning and delivery. A hands-on approach, distinct from a university-led PGCE, allows you to spend more time in the classroom to be strongly equipped to thrive as an early career teacher once you have completed your training.
Placement certainty - Placement details are provided upon selection, usually months in advance, eliminating uncertainty. With our vast network of Manchester schools, you can train to teach in a local school near you.
Salaried options - Explore a range of funding options, including salaried positions, self-funded positions, scholarships, and bursaries. Trainees who start on the Post Graduate Teaching Apprenticeship or salaried route have their tuition fees covered.
Job ready - The success of our trainees speaks volumes. Over 80% of our trainees are offered a job in their main placement school.
