Local schools, national excellence
United Teaching is an Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ school-centred initial teacher training provider with a presence in over 100 schools across the country. Our training programme is ambitious, flexible, and designed to prepare future educators for the challenges and rewards of teaching.
As a national provider, we ensure trainees are placed in a range of schools, including academies, maintained, and independent schools. Over the past decade, United Teaching has played a pivotal role in nurturing exceptional teachers, empowering them to lead, inspire, and drive meaningful change in the classroom, ultimately bringing out the best in everyone.
Our one-year training programme begins with a ten-day summer institute – a hybrid induction delivered face-to-face at one of our regional training centres and via remote learning. It provides trainees with the fundamental skills they need for their training.
Salaried trainees start on an up to 70% timetable and have their tuition fees paid for as part of the course. All trainees gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) upon successful completion of the programme. We also offer the option for trainees to study towards a PGCE with our university partner.
Our lead school is Paddington Academy based in London. We are supported by a network of regional training centres spread across the country.
"Trainees receive the highest standards of training and education."
