A salaried pathway into teacher training

Future Teachers is an immersive one-year teacher training foundation programme that helps aspiring teachers gain valuable school experience. As a Future Teacher, you'll become a valued member of the school staff, build your confidence in the classroom, and prepare for a successful teaching career. Developed by the United Learning Trust, Future Teachers offers a gradual and supportive introduction to the world of education.

You'll receive a salary from day one, enjoy ongoing professional support from the school, and engage with a research-driven curriculum. You'll have ample opportunities to plan and deliver lessons in your chosen subject area, all while being fully immersed in the school community. Upon successful completion of the programme, you'll have the option to apply to United Teaching's salaried teacher training programme, leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE.

Please note that progression to the United Teaching's teacher training programme is not automatic and requires a separate interview process subject to employing school's headteacher approval.
