Over 3,000 teachers started with United Teaching. Now, they’re shaping the futures of pupils and transforming educational outcomes. We want to help you do the same.
We develop outstanding teachers. Praised by Ofsted for our expert training, dedicated wellbeing support and high-quality mentorship – we support our trainees to become the best teacher they can be.
From Carlisle to Cambridge, Manchester to London, and Liverpool to Bournemouth, we have schools all over the country. You get to choose your preferred regions, and even your preferred schools. We do our best to match your preferences.
When your school is confirmed, we let you know right away. No uncertainty or months of waiting to find out where you’ll be placed - just full transparency from the start.
Our programme gives you the opportunity to teach in the classroom from day one – observing and learning from experienced teachers and leaders.
This immersive experience helps you settle into school life quickly, develop and refine your skills as you go, and makes sure you’re putting everything you learn into practice.
Whether you train on the salaried or fee-paying route, there are funding options to support you. Salaried trainees earn an unqualified teacher’s salary and have their tuition fees funded. Fee-paying trainees aren’t paid and need to cover their tuition fees – with lots of financial support available to help.
Our training is research-informed and delivered by experts. You’ll be learning best practice from some of the best educators in the country.
We believe in bringing out the best in everyone, and we support you every step of the way – through the highs and the challenges. So much so, we were recognised by Ofsted for our trainee wellbeing support.
Our school-based programme runs from September to July and leads to both Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). It is a structured, demanding year that prepares you for long-term success as a teacher. By the end of the academic year, you will be ready to begin your Early Career Teacher (ECT) years with real experience behind you. Over 80 percent of our trainees are offered a job in their main placement school.
Whatever you want to achieve, we want to help you get there. Whether you’re interested in pastoral, teaching and learning or senior leadership, we’ll help you shape and develop your career through continuous professional development opportunities and tailored support.
A national network awaits. Our teacher training programme embeds you into one of the largest communities of teachers making a positive impact in education – with over 100 schools and 3,000+ graduates.
You’ll have the opportunity to speak to fellow graduates, learn from their experiences and contribute to shaping the future of teaching and learning.
