What's the difference between PGCE and QTS?

A teacher from day one

On our teacher training programme, you will be teaching with a reduced timetable from day one. You could even join your school before September to work as a teaching assistant and gain more experience.

As a valued member of the teaching team in your placement school, you’ll be empowered to lead your own classes from the start, with support from mentors, colleagues and advisers.

Outstanding teacher training

United Teaching is an Ofsted-rated Outstanding teacher training programme. With us, you can achieve Qualified Teacher Status, an optional PGCE and become a teacher in just 12 months.

Paddington Academy, our Head Office, holds the Platinum Award for staff development and training. We’re also supported by our Northern Hub school Manchester Academy, with Langford Primary leading our Primary training.
